SmugMug has bought flickr and is now forcing users with more than 1,000 photos to sign up for the pro service and thus pay for the privilege of using a user interface that hasn’t been updated since the early 90s. All in the name of a better user experience of course!

But not with me, I’m leaving flickr to set up my own website. So here it is, ‘Bernd’s Perspective’, hosted by squarespace, with a modern user interface, and a title that is vague enough to cover everything from my photography to rants about the world in general.
